These essay types are often taught together with discussion essays but I think it is worth studying them separately to be better prepared. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this? Some people think that it would be better for large companies and industry to move to regional areas outside large urban centers. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
The number of alternatives can vary among items as long as all alternatives are plausible. Plausible alternatives serve as functional distractors, which are those chosen by students that have not achieved the objective but ignored by students that have achieved the objective.
There is little difference in difficulty, discrimination, and test score reliability among items containing two, three, and four distractors. Avoid complex multiple choice items, in which some or all of the alternatives consist of different combinations of options.
Keep the specific content of items independent of one another.
Savvy test-takers can use information in one question to answer another question, reducing the validity of the test. Finally, designing alternatives that require a high level of discrimination can also contribute to multiple choice items that test higher-order thinking.

Questions not just topics. While the topics are predictable enough, the actual questions are invariably extremely precise. Again, there is also a good reason for this: the examiners do not want you to learn an essay, they want to test your English and see if you can answer a precise question, rather than produce a general answer to a general topic.
Since you may be learning how to write an assessment essay on someone else's writing, it's important that you keep such in mind as you read through the person's essay.
Then, if any part of the report stands out to you or causes you to ask questions in your mind, make note so that it can possibly be included in your document later. Teachers who participate in my workshops often ask very pertinent questions that go right to the heart of formative assessment.
